Breathwork with Psychedelic Breath.
We breathe twenty thousand times a day without noticing.
James Nestor called it the lost art of breathing. Something we all carry within us and have forgotten. Yet old traditions knew it long ago: how we breathe changes how we feel, think, live. Psychedelic Breath® reaches back to these roots, a close relative of Tummo, the inner fire breath of Tibetan Buddhism, and translates them into a form for today.
What Psychedelic Breath® is.
A guided breath journey. Connected, dynamic breathing, carried by a curated musical journey. Nothing from outside. Only your breath.
Here, psychedelic means the state, not the substance. The word comes from the Greek and describes what makes the soul visible. Through the way you breathe alone, you reach a place just beyond the thinking mind.
What happens
Your brain waves shift. Out of everyday thinking mode into something close to deep meditation. The world outside grows quieter. The inner voice stops, for once, its endless commentary.
You might glide into a flow-like lightness. Or sink deeper. To where old patterns soften and a sudden knowing surfaces out of nowhere. You don't have to reach for it. You let it become audible.
The shape of a session
A session runs around 90 minutes and follows a calm arc.
1
Arriving.
Introduction, questions, settling the nervous system.
2
Warm-up.
Gentle breathing exercises to prepare you.
3
The breath journey.
The dynamic breathing phase, carried by the music. The heart of it.
4
Rest and sharing.
Time to integrate. And, if you like, to share what moved.
Psychedelic Breath® is gentle in tone and powerful in effect.
Intensity & honesty
Sometimes a session is simply calm and clarifying. Sometimes more comes into motion: a tingling in the body, a wave of emotion, something old that's ready to release. None of it is yours to steer. What comes, comes for you.
Safety & context
Safe, but powerful. Not every condition is a fit, for instance during pregnancy, with cardiovascular concerns, or certain neurological and psychological pre-existing conditions. You'll find the details with each offering. When in doubt, write me a quick note beforehand.
And one thing worth placing clearly: sómeya is not a substitute for medical or psychotherapeutic treatment. It's a space for clarity, stillness, and direction. Not a promise of treatment.
Come breathe.
A guided breath journey, live. Find your way in.
